Friday Giveaway // Slice of Life Project

CONGRATULATIONS D WOODFORD! YOU ARE THE LUCKY WINNER!
We will be emailing you details shortly. Thanks to all who entered!

Today's Epiphanie giveaway is courtesy of Seattle-based portrait, baby and family photographer Darrah Parker! Armed with her camera, she is in constant search for the joy in everyday Slices of Life, beauty in the over-looked and under-appreciated, and magic in simple moments.

In her 6 week e-course beginning Monday, April 2, you will dig beneath the surface of your everyday life to unearth the beauty that has been there all along. The Slice of Life approach to photography is embracing and honoring the imperfections in yourself, your loved ones, your messy kitchen, and cluttered shelves. It’s about saying that your life is just right the way it is.

Epiphanie is giving away a spot in this class to one very lucky person.
To enter, comment below and tell us where you find beauty in your everyday life. Contest ends Saturday, March 31 at 11:59pm CST. Winner will be chosen at random and announced on Sunday, April 1.

One last thing: today is the LAST DAY to take 10% OFF YOUR EPIPHANIE PURCHASE! Use promo code: SPRING12 at checkout. Applies to all bags! These promos don't come around often so DON'T MISS YOUR CHANCE!

Beauty in my family... especially the baby and the wonderful way she smiles and laughs at her big brothers.

I find beauty in my children, my husband, my dogs and the world around me... Every morning I wake up I give thanks for that which I am able to see, hear, touch and smell.

I find beauty in the most amazing smile my youngest has. She faces so many challenges in life (including her own temper and her own body) and yet possess the world's most contagious and joyful smile I've ever seen. Lucky for me i get to see it at least once a day.

Although it's usually difficult, I find beauty in daily chores. There are so many out there who do not have access to the things I have been blessed with. My house isn't the newest, or the nicest, I don't have the trendiest of clothes, but I can at least take care of what I've been given. Sure, clearing dishes out of the sink can be a pain, but at least I have a sink, not to mention food to put on those plates.

Beauty is all around us! It's just taking the time to actually see it that we lack. I try to slow down long enough every day to soak in at least a little :)

There is beauty all around us - often seen in the most common of places. The look of wonder on a child's face as she watches a butterfly emerge from its chrysalis. The ordered symmetry of the colony of ants that lives under the toadstool in our backyard. The way the gas pumps at a long abandoned station cast deep, black angular shadows across the weed ridden, cracked asphalt. One clcik, measured in hundredths of a second, can capture moments of astonishing beauty... a 35mm window on life's moments.

I find beauty in the older adults I serve- there is nothing as beautiful as a person with love and laughter in their heart even though they have lost so much.

I find beauty in my children's faces as they learn and grow. Too often parents do not get to watch their children grow {Like my sister and Niece who lost their babies} Every moment with my children is cherished and a blessing!! I find beauty in my husbands loving touch and strength! Beauty to me is what brings you joy. Beauty is different for everyone and I think uniqueness that God blessed everyone with is beautiful!
