Friday Giveaway // Slice of Life Project

CONGRATULATIONS D WOODFORD! YOU ARE THE LUCKY WINNER!
We will be emailing you details shortly. Thanks to all who entered!

Today's Epiphanie giveaway is courtesy of Seattle-based portrait, baby and family photographer Darrah Parker! Armed with her camera, she is in constant search for the joy in everyday Slices of Life, beauty in the over-looked and under-appreciated, and magic in simple moments.

In her 6 week e-course beginning Monday, April 2, you will dig beneath the surface of your everyday life to unearth the beauty that has been there all along. The Slice of Life approach to photography is embracing and honoring the imperfections in yourself, your loved ones, your messy kitchen, and cluttered shelves. It’s about saying that your life is just right the way it is.

Epiphanie is giving away a spot in this class to one very lucky person.
To enter, comment below and tell us where you find beauty in your everyday life. Contest ends Saturday, March 31 at 11:59pm CST. Winner will be chosen at random and announced on Sunday, April 1.

One last thing: today is the LAST DAY to take 10% OFF YOUR EPIPHANIE PURCHASE! Use promo code: SPRING12 at checkout. Applies to all bags! These promos don't come around often so DON'T MISS YOUR CHANCE!

Where Did You Have Your Epiphanie? // France + Spain

Leslie Callan tells us where she had her Epiphanie:

"I recently took a trip to Paris, through the French Countryside and down to Basque Country, stopping in San Sebastian, Spain. I'd upgraded to the Paris bag in Purple in late January from the red Lola because I needed to be able to carry around more when I'm working on jobs without having to bring my large roller bag. This trip was last minute and unexpected with a couple of girlfriends- we were given stand by tickets and told we could go anywhere the airline flies, and we chose France because one of my friends had never been there before.

The last time I was in Paris was before I'd become a professional photographer. It was three years ago during a backpacking trip through Europe that I fell in love with photography. Such a full circle experience to be back in one of the most beautiful places in the world, this time knowing how to take photos without shooting in Aperture Priority. It was just a coincidence that I'd just bought the Paris bag and was going to Paris! (the best kind of coincidence)

The Paris bag went with me all the way up the stairs of the Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame, through Versailles and Bordeaux, to the ancient castles of Villandry and Rabelais, and to the beaches of Biarritz and San Sebastian."

Highlights of Leslie's trip include:
* visiting castles in the Loire Valley
* going to the Marche aux Puces in Paris (flea market)
* Versailles
* staging impromptu photo shoots with my friends in castles and monuments and wherever else we felt like it
* staying at a rustic bed and breakfast in Langeais

Longing for a Paris bag? Great news - this particular laptop + camera bag is 30% off (so only $129.49)! Sadly we are sold out of Purple, but we still have a few Black Paris bags in stock. So hurry and order today!

Friday Giveaway // Xanthe Berkeley's Time Capsule course

One of our favorite photographers in the whole wide world is Xanthe Berkeley. She has this profound way of capturing the splendor in every day life and we love her for it. Even more amazing, she creates "time capsules" which combine photos and videos to memorialize the stories of your life.

One such example: Xanthe's morning routine.

Beginning in April, she will teach an online course dedicated to the creation of "time capsules." Epiphanie is giving away a spot in this class to one very lucky person. To enter, comment below and tell us the first type of time capsule you would create. Would it be about a normal evening in your household or maybe how you spent the last holiday with family and friends?

Entries must be posted by Thursday, March 22 at 11:59PM CST. The winner will be chosen at random and announced on Friday, March 23.  Good luck!
