Show Me Yours!

Your BAG that is. We're launching a new series devoted to your Epiphanie bag and the contents stored inside. We want to feature you!

If you'd like to show the world just how much you can fit into your bag, here's what we need:

1) a shot of your gear + personal items displayed outside of the bag
2) a list of the items in #1
3) an interior shot of your bag when empty (so everyone can see how you've arranged the panels)
4) an interior photo of the contents back in the bag

Send your photos & list to media@epiphaniebags.com. Please note "Show Me Yours!" in the subject line. We can't wait to hear from you!

Where Did You Have Your Epiphanie? - Versailles

Say hello to Lindsay, writer of the blog Confessions of a Bookworm. Lindsay recently returned from a two week trip to Europe with her Pink Belle. Part of her trip included a stop in Versailles.

How much would you give to be Lindsay in this very photo right this second?

Lindsay insists that you must do the following when visiting Versailles:

1) Take in the gorgeous (and grandiose!) Palace of Versailles! See the amazing artwork and architecture, as well as items such as Napoleon’s throne and Marie Antoinette’s bedroom!

2) Wander the labyrinthine gardens of the Palace of Versailles- you can explore for hours and not see it all! And if you get tired of walking, you can rent bikes and golf carts!

3) Take a rowboat out on the Grand Canal in the gardens of Versailles!

4) Find and explore one of the many smaller palaces-turned-museums with in the gardens of Versailles, including Marie Antoinette’s personal retreat, the Petit Trianon!

5) Enjoy the scents and flavors of Versailles by meandering through the open-air produce market or the flower market near the palace.

More of Lindsay's Versailles photos can be found here. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us, Lindsay!

Behind the Scenes: Karen Walrond

The idea for this campaign was to shoot real photographers in distinctively different locations. And what could be more different from the desert than New York city?

Lauren is a friend, and also works for Epiphanie doing everything from helping with support to managing media relations. I think her official title is: We Don't Know What We'd Do Without Her Coordinator. So she came along to play help, and to basically just be her small yet Very Mighty Self. Go Lauren go!

When I asked Karen to model, I knew she was photogenic. I had no idea however that she was going to blow it UP! Seriously. She took no time to warm up in front of the camera and rock out frame after frame of pure fierceness. SO MUCH FUN TO SHOOT. Here are some images that weren't posted in the look book

You may already know Karen. Besides being a photographer and writer, she's a non-practicing attorney, has a very popular blog, has been on Oprah, and has done many other impressive things. Among them is the work she's doing in her new book The Beauty of Different, which inspires and challenges the narrow way we often tend to define beauty. I've asked her to share a little here and she agreed! So come back tomorrow to read about that one crucial element that Karen's always looking for when she shoots!

Featured!

We are thrilled to be featured in the Editor's Choice section of this month's American Photo magazine!

The article reads:

"Most camera bags sport functional rather than flattering designs. What's more, their utilitarian exteriors practically advertise their valuable contents -- a concern for professional photographers. Catering to women, the Epiphanie line brings a sense of style to photography's old-fashioned shoulder bag. Four different models --including Belle, Ginger and Lola in both red and black versions -- can all pass for large, nicely styled purses. Inside though, they feature the protective padding, adjustable dividers and zippered pockets ideal for carrying photo gear. Light-colored interiors (pink on the black Lola model and lavender on the red, for example) make items easier to locate. All of the bags come with a removable cross-body strap for extra security and comfort."

Thank you American Photo editors! :)
